It is now big news. It was big news some time ago. But it is only now that it’s REALLY big news. Our planet needs healing and fast action is required. It is true that whilst fossil fuels still dominate global energy production we are losing the battle. It is true also that businesses should behave, take responsibility and weave purpose into their strategies beyond just greedy profit. We believe that it takes Real Leaders to move mountains and make positive purpose driven, earthly change the next big trend.
In our world, from our small office shed in the quiet countryside of a small county called Wiltshire, in the south-west of a relatively small sea locked country called the United Kingdom, part of a slightly bigger continent called Europe (not the Union type!) and surrounded by six much bigger and some much more populous continents – we have an ambitious plan....
The premise of our plan is that Real Leaders assert influence on the masses. If the Leaders make it really uncool to not to offer Equal Opportunities or provide proper Governance, make it OK to eat less meat, make it normal to reduce the use of unnecessary plastic then pressure will be placed on other, bigger suppliers to follow suit because that is how demand and supply works.
If the bigger guys in one country do it then maybe the rest of the continent will follow. If one continent gets it right then maybe other continents will follow too.
It’s a big plan – but we think it’s worth a shot. After all what do we have to lose….

We are concerned with brands that take Ethical trading seriously. We want to ensure good governance at every level and work with companies committed to helping to make the necessary changes our planet needs for survival. Not everyone is perfect and it can be very difficult or commercially challenging to be perfect but we can all try.
We believe by supporting these brands they in turn can lead the bigger brands by example to make significant change.
We particularly support brands that have or are going through B-Corporation certification. We are interested to hear from brands with activated Environmental, Social and Governance policies and also those that are aligned to the UNs Sustainable Development Goals.
Our ambition is to create a community of like-minded foodie fans along with tasty like-minded brands to lead the UK food industry by the lapels! Part of doing this is to ensure a flow of communication from the foodie fans to the brands is made possible and that feedback is listened to and if possible actioned. At first we will collect your feedback and pass it directly to the marketing managers of each brand and ask them for a response to give back to you. In time we hope to create a forum to capture this information for everyone to contribute.
So… if you think they use too much packaging or you want to know where they source their gluten free oats or you think they should consider a new flavour, less sugar or brighter colours in their packaging – leave them feedback to help them make a better a future.
To become a partner brand we have drawn up a shortlist of VALUES which each brand must demonstrate to us that they are actively seeking to improve on. In time, we may add to this key criteria for our selection process.
